After much anticipation and suspence, WordPress has just announced the latest version of the popular blogging platform. For those late to the party, the WordPress platform is an easy-to-use but feature-ful blogging platform that can power anything from micro-blogs and personal blogs to multi-blog corporate blogging environments.
For instance the PiyushShekhar.com blog is hosted on the WordPress platform. You can easily install WordPress on your own domain, or you could start a blog on the WordPress.com service. Both use the same system.
The latest version, WordPress 3.0, was unveiled yesterday, and boasts of a bunch of large and small tweaks. The biggest, in my opinion, is the merger of WordPress and WordPress Mu. (WordPress Mu being the platform that allows you to run multiple blogs from the same installation.)
With this setting up and running several blogs becomes as easy as running just one. Good news for single-blog owners looking to diversify, and multi-blog managers looking to simplify administration and management.

I was waiting for this release. Now I can upgrade and secure all of our WordPress site. The feature of the theme Twenty Ten is very good but I doubt many of us will not opt for this default theme.
